Emergency and trauma care at UCSI Hospital offers a lifeline to patients 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Staffed by specialists in Emergency Medicine and experienced nurses, we provide high-quality emergency care to both adult and paediatric patients with acute medical conditions, critical injuries or symptoms of something far more serious.
All emergency cases at UCSI Hospital are prioritised. Patients benefit from reduced wait times and dedicated care the moment they come on-site. The emergency section is also strategically located near dedicated laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services, facilitating the prompt diagnosis of conditions upon arrival. This setting also allows specialists to undertake prompt intervention that often results in life-saving outcomes.

What to expect when you come to the hospital?
- An admission kit is available for your use. The kit contains basic toiletries; however, you may carry your own.
- A set of clothes and slippers to wear upon discharge. The hospital provides you with a gown to wear during your stay.
- You are not allowed to bring outside medicines. Even your routine medications will be given by the hospital. However, please carry a list of medicines you are taking routinely.
- A mobile phone with a charger.
- Insurance documents (claim form and authorisation number).

Infection control practices are meticulously followed as we are committed to providing the highest standards of clinical care. Our hospital has an Infectious disease consultant and nurse, who monitor hospital associated infections and antibiotic usage as per national and internally accepted protocols. - Special requirements

In-Patient Information
Ward routine:
- The unit nurse will welcome you and bring you to your room.
- Your doctor and nurse will discuss with you a plan of medical care that’s tailored to your medical needs.
- Nutritional and dietary advice shall be provided if deemed necessary by our medical team.
- A typical day at the ward starts between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. with bed preparation and cleaning of rooms and common areas. The room is ensured of its cleanliness by our housekeeping team. Meals are served according to schedule. ‘Lights out’ is at 10 p.m.

Medical problems – handling in sorting out the right specialist treatment.
Provide estimated cost and duration of stay for requested procedure.
Assist in medical transfer to Malaysia.
Welcome and assist patient upon arrival in hospital
Provide transport for patient or family member to or from hospital within a 10km radius
Assist with personal requests such as general screening checks and collection of results

Assist with arranging for a second opinion (international standard) wherever necessary.

Arrange for a medical report from doctor for change in date of flight ticket due to unforeseen prolonged medical stay.

General Ward
Visitation Hours: 10am - 2pm | 5pm - 9pm
After visiting hours, only one visitor is allowed into the general ward. In such a case, you would have to register with the security personnel from 10pm to midnight to collect your visitor pass. The room number you are visiting is stated on your visitor pass.
ICU / CCU/HDU
Visitation Hours: 10am - 2pm | 5pm - 9pm
Only one person is allowed in at a time. No children are allowed access to this part of the hospital.
NICU
Visitation Hours: 10am - 2pm | 5pm - 9pm
